Job Summary
Oversee the preparation and billing of all third-party claims, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and payor guidelines. Lead the billing team in developing best practices, managing electronic billing software, and training staff on coding standards, HIPAA, and Medicare/Medicaid regulations. Process payments, document receivable data for general ledger reporting, and assist the Accounting department during month-end close by providing revenue, accrual, and write-off reports. Track claims status, investigate denials, and ensure all billing records are stored for audit purposes. Evaluate and cross-train billers to stay current on evolving regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Finance, Accounting, Management, or Business Administration
- 5+ years as Billing Manager and/or Billing Supervisor
- Must have good organizational skills
- ability to perform numerous tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced office environment
- Good analytical and accounting skills
