Billing & Coding Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

Audit and monitor coding and billing activities to verify compliance with applicable regulations, payer requirements, and industry standards. Identify areas for improvement, recommend corrective actions, and assist with implementing solutions to enhance billing and coding accuracy. Provide ongoing education and training to providers and staff while maintaining current knowledge of coding, billing, and reimbursement regulations. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. AAPC Billing and Coding Certification is required.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar billing and coding role within a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in computer applications, data entry, typing, and basic office procedures
  • Experience using standard office equipment, including copiers, fax machines, calculators, and multi-line telephone systems
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • AAPC Billing and Coding Certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar billing and coding role within a healthcare setting
