Job Summary
Billing Clerk responsible for invoicing clients, ensuring invoicing aligns with contract terms; verify timesheet accuracy; perform account reconciliations and support month-end/year-end closing; generate and send client invoices; create reports and provide ad hoc financial analyses; process vendor invoices into accounts payable; maintain client records and ensure billing data accuracy; collaborate with internal and external clients to address billing concerns; utilize accounting software and Excel for data entry and reporting; maintain compliance with financial regulations and company standards; demonstrate up-to-date bookkeeping knowledge and attention to detail; strong communication and confidential handling of information; office-based role with expectation for timely billing execution and deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Business, finance, or accounting preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in accounting or administrative roles
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in data entry utilizing accounting software including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, databases, and email
- Excellent communication, strong organizational, and critical thinking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data management and record-keeping and commitment to professional integrity
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility and adaptability to handle changing priorities and business needs
