Job Summary
The Billing Clerk role supports the billing and accounting function in a government contracting environment. Responsibilities include assisting with preparing and processing customer invoices using Deltek Costpoint, reviewing billing data for accuracy, and supporting billing across cost-plus, time & materials, and fixed-price contracts. The position helps ensure invoices comply with contract terms and company policies, tracks billed/unbilled amounts, assists with basic reconciliations, responds to inquiries, maintains organized billing files, and supports month-end activities and audit requests to uphold DCAA-compliant practices. Training on Deltek Costpoint will be provided. The role is hybrid and located at the Bethesda, MD office, with standard business hours, and offers benefits and opportunities for training and development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0–2 years of billing, accounting, or administrative experience
- Exposure to government contracting preferred
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint a plus (training may be provided)
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office apps
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Team-oriented with customer-service mindset
