Job Summary
Billing Claims Analyst with extensive UB-04 and Medicare knowledge responsible for accurate claim submission, follow-up, and resolution of Medicare hospital billing issues to ensure timely reimbursement and CMS compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 - 10 years of hospital experience in UB-04 Billing preferably Medicare
- Proficiency in Medicare Direct Data Entry (DDE) System
- Experience with CMS LCDs for hospital tests and procedures
- Experience calculating Medicare days (co-days, lifetime reserve days)
- Experience with Medicare edits and overlap claims
- Ability to analyze, resolve, and appeal claim rejections/denials from Medicare and other payers
