Job Summary
Remote Billing and Follow-up Representative II performs day-to-day billing and follow-up for an assigned PBS location, documents claims billed/paid/follow-up, identifies and resolves billing discrepancies, contacts payers and hospital departments for information, investigates claim rejections and delays, prepares reports, and assists in training of Billing and Follow-up staff. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-resolution abilities, knowledge of revenue-cycle processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office to support timely and accurate reimbursements within a hospital/healthcare setting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or Associate's degree in Accounting or Business Administration or related field
- minimum of three (3) years' experience in revenue cycle functions and systems in a hospital/clinic environment or health care financial service setting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment
