Job Summary
Performs day-to-day billing and follow-up activities within the revenue operations of an assigned Patient Business Services location. Serves as a member of the billing and follow-up team responsible for billing and follow-up of government and non-government accounts. Documents claims billed, paid, settled, and follow-up; identifies and escalates billing discrepancies; communicates with hospital departments to clarify information; investigates overpayments/underpayments/credit balances; researches claim rejections and takes corrective actions; follows up on delayed payments by contacting patients and third-party payers; may prepare special reports; works onsite in Davenport, IA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of Trinity Health Trainee program
- Experience in revenue cycle functions and systems in hospital/clinic or healthcare financial service setting OR related education/experience
