Job Summary
Grant Billing Accountant responsible for obtaining invoices, assigning appropriate billing codes, preparing contract invoices, monitoring grant expenditures, and maintaining reports to support grant billing. Communicates with fiscal contacts at funding sources, reconciles grants receivable and grants revenue, and ensures contract compliance. Requires experience with grant billing, AR/GL, and Sage Intacct or similar; strong Excel skills; detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of grant billing experience
- 3+ years of AR, GL, Grants and Contracts modules in Sage Intacct or similar software
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel)
- Strong understanding of cash vs accrual accounting, with experience running and analyzing general ledger reports to identify expenses, accrual and correct discrepancies
- Exceptional organizational skills and a detail-oriented problem solver
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Adherence to deadlines while communicating and coordinating with Leadership and Vendors
- Excellent communication and writing skills
