Job Summary
Orthopedic practice Medical Biller responsible for managing the revenue cycle including accurate claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and patient billing inquiries. Duties include verifying insurance eligibility and authorizations, posting payments/adjustments/denials, researching/appealing denials, AR follow-up, handling patient statements and payment plans, ensuring HIPAA and CMS compliance, reconciling payments, and generating billing metrics. Requires 2+ years of medical billing experience (preferably orthopedics), CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding knowledge, proficiency with EHR and Mod Med, and familiarity with major payers. On-site role in Henderson, NV with opportunities for growth and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2+ years medical billing experience
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems (Mod Med)
- Familiarity with major payers including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, and workers' compensation
