Job Summary
Manage a team of 40–60 hourly staff to conduct door-to-door voter contact in Raleigh, NC, with a focus on Latino communities and immigrant rights. Canvass several days a week to train canvassers, set goals, hold staff accountable, and identify leadership within the office. Implement quality control measures, maintain a safe working environment, and handle administrative duties including reporting, record keeping, and payroll. Build a diverse, equity-focused team while developing strategic plans to reach targeted voters. This role begins mid-September and runs through election day in November.
Required Qualifications
- Leadership experience; ability to motivate, grow, and manage a large team
- Eagerness to lead from the front and canvass several days a week
- Extreme attention to detail and a proven ability to instill that quality in others
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong passion for community organizing and fostering civic engagement
- Track record of equity and inclusion
- Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends
- Bilingual - fluency in Spanish
Desired Qualifications
- Experience running paid canvasses or managing paid employees
- Familiarity with VAN and MiniVAN
- Experience working in underserved or marginalized communities
- Facilitation experience
- Local knowledge/experience
