Job Summary
Coordinate transportation and physically escort children who have fled their country of origin to reunification efforts, navigating travel destinations and supervising youth during transit. Manage medical and clinical transport by coordinating with Charge Nurses and clinical staff, while tracking and assigning doctor appointments via supervisors. Maintain daily rosters of times, dates, destinations, and transporters, ensuring vehicles are fueled, cleaned, and secured before each shift. Provide safety training to new hires and collect safety checklist sheets for weekly reporting. Schedule group outings weekly and maintain cell phone numbers for all transport staff. Report vehicle needs and damage to maintenance, tracking all repair issues. This role requires travel out of state up to 40%-50% and involves prolonged periods of walking, standing, and physical agility, including lifting up to 100 pounds. Applicants must be bilingual in English and Spanish, hold a valid driver's license with a good driving record, and possess a minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to travel out of state up to 40%-50% for reunification efforts
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with at-risk youth
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required
- Excellent time management and organization skills
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Applicants are required to pass an agility and strength evaluation
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record
- Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
- Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 bodily liability coverage
- 21 years of age
- Must be able to participate in physical interventions with youth when necessary
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Will be required to complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and CPR training
- Schedule will vary depending on transport need; flexibility is needed
- Must be able to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, gender, gender identity, sexual identity, disability, religious, and racial backgrounds
