Bilingual Transportation Manager

Direct and plan transportation activities for Souto Foods, including formulating strategies aligned with corporate metrics and developing annual budgets and five-year forecasts. Oversee daily scheduling and supervision of 20-30 drivers to ensure timely deliveries while controlling expenses and maintaining proper staffing levels. Ensure compliance with DOT, federal, state, and local standards, including Food Safety Modernization Act requirements, while promoting a positive, union-free department culture. Coordinate driver bidding, route workload balancing, and cross-dock activities to maximize load capacity and reduce operating expenses. Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal teams to handle changing delivery requirements and maintain high customer satisfaction.
