Bilingual Transportation Manager

Job Summary
Direct and plan transportation activities, including developing annual budgets, forecasting five-year plans, and overseeing daily driver scheduling for 75 to 100 weekly routes. Ensure compliance with Company, federal, state, DOT, and local standards while managing fleet safety, Food Safety Modernization Act requirements, and trailer maintenance. Formulate strategies to maximize load capacity, reduce operating expenses, and coordinate cross-dock activities with routing and sales teams. Supervise 20-30 drivers, maintain proper staffing levels, and recruit quality individuals to meet customer delivery needs. Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal leadership to handle changing requirements and promote a safety-oriented, customer service culture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management
- 8-10 years' experience in transportation operations management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and PC skills
- CDL's
- Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Expert user level of ELD softwares
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
- Freight and backhaul experience
- Prior use of drop yard (hub and spoke) concepts
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience
