Bilingual Transportation Manager

Direct and plan transportation activities for Souto Foods, overseeing daily scheduling and supervision of 20-30 drivers to ensure timely deliveries while controlling expenses. Formulate and execute transportation strategies aligned with corporate metrics, develop annual budgets, and forecast five-year plans. Ensure compliance with federal, state, DOT, and local standards, including Food Safety Modernization Act requirements, while managing fleet safety measures and driver training. Coordinate with routing departments to maximize load capacity and develop efficient schedules for 75 to 100 weekly routes. Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and internal leadership to address changing requirements and maintain a positive, union-free department culture.
