Bilingual Transportation Manager

Job Summary
Direct and plan transportation activities for Souto Foods, including formulating strategies aligned with corporate metrics and developing annual budgets and five-year forecasts. Supervise 20-30 drivers and dispatch 75 to 100 weekly routes, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, Food Safety Modernization Act standards, and federal/state requirements. Maintain proper staffing levels, recruit quality individuals, and coordinate cross-dock activities and fleet safety measures to minimize operating expenses. Serve as a liaison between customers, vendors, and management to handle scheduling changes and ensure timely deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management
- 8-10 years' experience in transportation operations management
- Excellent communication, organizational, and PC skills
- CDL's
- Strong verbal and written communication, leadership, interpersonal, critical thinking, and organizational skills
- Expert user level of ELD softwares
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Bi-lingual (Spanish)
- Freight and backhaul experience
- Prior use of drop yard (hub and spoke) concepts
- 3-5 years of warehouse experience
