Job Summary
Develop engaging instruction using presentations, lectures, hands-on activities, and partner exercises within Ace University Training Programs. Create lesson plans to address learning objectives and deliver established curriculum to groups of varying sizes. Prepare, demonstrate, and facilitate hands-on laboratory exercises while operating Mobile Elevating Work Platform (MEWP) equipment per manufacturer and safety requirements. Evaluate student understanding, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate training records including attendance and assessments. Follow document-control procedures to ensure materials are current and accessible, while consistently enforcing all company safety policies. Maintain an organized, professional, and safe classroom and laboratory environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver's License
- References
- Background Check
- Drug Screen Testing
- OSHA 10 - Construction certification completed within the last 4 years
- Must hear and see well (either natural or with correction)
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push, pull and reach overhead
- Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds
- Able to carry objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- Tolerant to prolonged sitting
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
- Comprehend and practice safe work procedures as outlined in Company Safety Handbook
- Read and interpret instructional manuals and written instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Two years of related electrical, construction, or training experience
- Completion of a U.S. Department of Labor–registered electrical apprenticeship program
- Bilingual, Spanish & English
- Desire to see others succeed by mentoring and sharing knowledge with others
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established document-control procedures
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with varying levels of knowledge and experience
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Electrical Code
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical theory
- OSHA10/30, MEWP Certifications, NFPA 70 E Training, CPR Certified
- Ability to safely operate and train others on MEWP equipment
- Ability to effectively operate computers, presentation software and other classroom technology
