Job Summary
Assist Speech-Language Pathologists in conducting patient assessments, implementing therapeutic activities, and developing individualized treatment plans for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Provide direct patient care across neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations while instructing patients in exercises to improve communication skills and collaborating on augmentative and alternative communication strategies. Maintain accurate documentation of progress and participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans. Requires current state licensure, experience in pediatrics or critical care environments, and proficiency in standardized testing procedures. Flexible work hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state licensure or certification
- Experience in pediatrics, adults and geriatrics or school settings
- Knowledge of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to speech pathology
- Ability to work in critical care environments
- Proficiency in patient assessment techniques
- Strong case management skills
- Experience with standardized testing procedures
- Previous experience in inpatient settings
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders and therapeutic techniques
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining licensure and participating in professional development activities
