Job Summary
A certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) provides pediatric speech-language pathology services in the home and community, implementing treatment programs to address cognitive, speech, language, feeding/swallowing, and social/emotional needs. Responsibilities include evaluating and interpreting assessment results, developing goals, creating and implementing therapy plans with physicians, assisting patients to improve functional skills, educating and empowering caregivers to carry over activities, coordinating with referral partners, ensuring continuity of therapy after discharge with home exercise programs, and documenting care in an electronic medical record while maintaining patient confidentiality. Requires ASHA certification, Texas SLP/SLPA license, and CPR certification; 1+ year experience preferred.
