Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication skills in both English and Spanish. Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address communication goals. Provide direct therapy services to students individually and in small groups, targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, and social communication. Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into Individualized Education Programs. Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide progress updates and recommendations. Maintain accurate and confidential records of sessions, assessments, and progress reports. Work onsite in a K-12 school setting in Katy, TX for the 26/27 school year, reporting to a network of clinicians connecting schools with clinical solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification or proficiency in the target language (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.)
- Previous experience working as a bilingual speech-language pathologist in a school or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development, disorders, and therapy techniques in both English and the target language
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, school staff, and related service providers
- Proficiency in assessment, therapy planning, and documentation
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move around in various areas of the school facility
- Must be able to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents both verbally and in writing
- Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Must have the physical stamina to supervise and engage with students throughout the school day
Desired Qualifications
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
