Job Summary
Bilingual Spanish SPED Tutor needed for in-home, 1:1 tutoring in San Francisco, CA for a 4th-grade student with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Provide reading and math instruction aligned to the 4th-grade curriculum, adapt instruction to individual learning and behavioral needs, and support engagement using AAC. Implement strategies to maintain focus, manage occasional resistant behaviors, and create a calm, structured learning environment. Sessions are 1.5 hours per week, three times weekly (Mon-Fri after 5pm) with weekend flexibility. Competitive pay at $25–$35/hour. Start ASAP.
Required Qualifications
- Special Education experience with reading and math instruction
- Experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Ability to provide individualized, developmentally appropriate instruction
- Experience using AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices
- Bilingual Spanish required or highly preferred
- In-home tutoring and one-on-one session delivery
- Strong behavior intervention and positive reinforcement strategies
- Ability to create structured, calm learning environments
- Flexible scheduling (evenings/weekends)
