Job Summary
Plan Person-Centered Plans, assist with daily documentation, and transport individuals to inclusive community activities. Provide constant supervision while assisting with daily living activities, administering medication, and responding to medical emergencies. Teach essential community skills, foster positive work habits, and manage challenging behaviors in a respectful, professional manner. Complete accurate logs, submit behavioral data, and maintain the Electronic Health Record System for daily activities and PCPs. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the MLK or Bridges Day Program, ensuring compliance with all agency policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Desire to work with adults who require a great deal of hands-on assistance, personal care and supervision
- Computer literate
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Strong communication skills
- Dependable and reliable
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to use all required software
- Ability to problem-solve and assist in decision-making, including during emergencies
- Current status regarding assigned core competencies and other required certification acquisition within established schedules and timelines
- Approved driver for the Arc of Prince George's County
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work productively with individuals and other team members to develop relationships
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
- Good customer service skills
