Job Summary
Manage classroom behaviors, maintain order and safety, and provide general supervision of students inside the school setting. Implement behavioral program policies, report concerns to staff, and assist in preventing incidents of non-compliance or escalation. Respond to emergency situations, provide interventions for high-risk special needs students, and correct conditions that disrupt the educational process or pose safety concerns. Think quickly, independently, and tactfully under stress while driving a student van if able. This role supports the '3-C Ready' framework at Menta Academy La Salle, fostering an environment where students are College, Career, and Citizenship Ready.
Required Qualifications
- Must be fluent in both Spanish and English
- At least 23 years of age
- Able to work with high-risk special needs students
- Good driving record
- Willing and able to drive student van
Desired Qualifications
- Paraprofessional certification preferred
- Security or Juvenile Justice background is helpful
- Military Veterans are encouraged to apply
- Ability to operate tactfully under stress
- Flexibility to change in routines
