Job Summary
Bilingual (Spanish) Client Advocate for CAMBA's Resources for Inclusive Support and Empowerment (RISE) program. The role involves planning, coordinating and facilitating social/peer support events; preparing and posting marketing content for HIV prevention and health campaigns; conducting outreach at high-risk venues to recruit clients; developing action plans with clients; following up with referral organizations; assisting clients in navigating services and advocating for self-sufficiency; maintaining client files and documentation; prescreening for eligibility, intake scheduling, data entry, and contributing to program reports. Requires two years of relevant experience, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, comfort with online outreach via social media and dating apps, and availability for occasional evening/weekend work. Compensation: $43,000 annually. Location: 1259 Flatbush Ave, Brooklyn, NY. Status: Full-time (35 hours per week). CAMBA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Sufficient education (English-speaking, -reading, -writing, & math abilities) to comprehend oral and written information and to assist callers and visitors and staff
- Two (2) years of relevant experience
- Bi-lingual English/Spanish
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge about, understanding of, and ability to work closely with, persons with HIV/AIDS and related issues
- Experience and/or comfort conducting online outreach via social media and dating/"hook-up" apps and websites
- Required to work occasional evenings/weekend days
