Job Summary
Manage daily apartment community operations by assisting with monthly rent collection, delinquency management, and resident account monitoring. Process rental payments, security deposits, and refunds while maintaining accurate resident ledgers and preparing financial reports. Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents, including lease execution, application processing, and resolving resident concerns. Maintain resident files, ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, and collaborate with maintenance teams on work orders and vendor coordination. Lead the office during the Community Manager's absence and assist in training new team members. Requires bilingual English/Spanish proficiency and experience with property management software.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant regulations
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to tour apartment homes and community grounds
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 2 years of multifamily property management experience
- Previous leasing or assistant manager experience
- Experience with rent collections and resident account management
- Experience using property management software (RealPage preferred)
