Job Summary
Bilingual Scheduling Specialist Associate responsible for scheduling and pre-registering Diagnostic Services patients, selecting accurate medical records for patient safety, obtaining and validating demographics and insurance information, providing proper patient instructions, and performing Point of Service collections and financial counseling as appropriate. Works to meet regulatory compliance requirements across the organization, delivering exceptional customer service and leveraging MS applications. Requires Spanish-English bilingual ability, CRCR certification within 9 months of hire, 1-3 years of healthcare experience, and comfort with remote work and occasional travel to client sites.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience
- Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) required within 9 months of hire
- 1-3 years' work experience
- 2 years’ experience in a healthcare related position
- Experience working with insurance companies and/or pre-authorizations required
- Patient Access experience with managed care/insurance
- Formal typist with a minimum of 35 WPM
- Intermediate proficiency in MS applications (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
- Experience with multiple computer systems and use of dual screens
- Able to multitask and work individually while applying critical thinking skills
- Customer Service experience highly preferred
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
