Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver safety and operations training in a bilingual English/Spanish environment for a food manufacturing facility. Schedule, lead, and administer orientations, ongoing training, cross-training, and training required for corrective action. Update training materials (presentations, job aids, e-learning modules) to align with adult learning principles and company goals. Maintain accurate training records and track employee completion in ADP; monitor completion percentages. Mentor team leaders and supervisors to enhance coaching and communication of safety expectations; serve as on-floor safety advocate promoting hazard awareness and risk prevention. Support safety programs (Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, ergonomics, chemical management, emergency preparedness); participate in audits and inspections; collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance to integrate safety into daily operations and projects. Fluently translate and interpret between English and Spanish as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Food Science, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in food manufacturing, safety, or training roles
- Experience designing and delivering employee training programs preferred
- Strong coaching and communication skills with the ability to influence positive behavioral change
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, food safety principles, and manufacturing safety practices
- Ability to perform all duties in English & Spanish at an intermediate to native level (translating/interpreting as needed)
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills using adult learning techniques
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and shifts
