Bilingual Retail Paint Sales Associate

Job Summary
Conduct in-person and phone sales by determining customer needs, recommending products, and resolving concerns to ensure satisfaction and meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals. Process transactions accurately, tint and mix paint to specifications, stock shelves, clean equipment, and manage inventory control. Assist with deliveries, load trucks, and maintain in-stock store areas while remaining knowledgeable on product features. This role requires a valid driver's license, bilingual communication in English and Spanish, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs. Candidates must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship and willing to work evenings and weekends. Located at Store #5290 in Oneonta, NY, the position offers health, retirement, and generous time-off benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
- Valid, unrestricted Driver's License
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion
- Willingness to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: received at least a 'meets expectations' (3) rating on most recent performance appraisal
- If internal to Sherwin-Williams: completed all HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position
Desired Qualifications
- At least a High School diploma or GED
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position
- Previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products
- Previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment
