Job Summary
Provide one-on-one companionship and supervision for an adult client transitioning home after hospitalization while assisting with meals and basic daily living needs. Maintain a safe, structured daily routine and encourage appropriate activities to foster independence. Offer calm, patient redirection and emotional support, observing and reporting any changes or concerns to the agency. Complete required shift documentation for each 4-day-per-week consistent case. This non-clinical respite role focuses on relieving family stress through dependable, bilingual support for clients with mental or behavioral health needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must speak English and Spanish fluently
- Reliable transportation
- Dependable, patient, professional, and comfortable providing one-on-one care
- Must pass required background screening
- 4-day-per-week consistent case
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with adults with mental/behavioral health needs
- CNA, PCA, caregiver, DSP, or similar experience
