Job Summary
Develop and implement curriculum for after-school and summer activities focusing on safety skills, conflict resolution, and healthy coping for child survivors of domestic violence. Plan, coordinate, and maintain literacy, educational, and cultural events while teaching personal development skills including multicultural awareness and leadership. Model non-violent discipline and conflict resolution strategies, and provide services from a feminist perspective to clients and their parents. Maintain daily accurate records, assess outcome data for program recommendations, and complete parent/child orientations. Establish contracts and maintain relationships with community partners to support enrichment services.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with an additional 2 years of experience in lieu of degree
- Associate's Degree in Education, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, Criminal Justice, or similar social science
- A minimum of one year of experience creating and facilitating lesson plans to school-age children from diverse backgrounds
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish, able to read, speak, and write fluently in both languages
- You have a valid Texas driver's license with a good driving record; reliable transportation; ability to travel to off-site locations utilizing personal transportation
- Current First Aid- CPR required
