Job Summary
Conduct initial intake, provide orientation to shelter guidelines, and assign rooms for residents in a 100-bed emergency shelter for survivors of domestic violence and homelessness. Supervise residents to ensure compliance with safety protocols, prepare grant-compliant documentation, and maintain statistical records and daily house census logs. Answer 24-hour hotlines and live chats to provide safety planning and crisis intervention, while assisting Food Services with meal counts and overseeing cleanliness during meal times. Perform routine facility walkthroughs to monitor safety and update the HCDV shelter bed database and TBOTW account daily. Work 36 hours weekly on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 7am to 7pm.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bilingual; English/Spanish
- Must pass criminal background investigation check
- Must provide and maintain current TX Driver's License
- Must provide and maintain clean driving record and annually update driving record
- Must provide and maintain current auto liability insurance
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S
- Must be able to lift/carry (40) lbs, and ascend/descend stairs in emergency shelter setting
