Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician – Specialty Pharmacy role located in Berwyn, PA with AscellaHealth. You will advocate for patients to obtain insurance coverage for prescribed therapies, welcome new patients, perform insurance verifications and prior authorizations, file claims, coordinate deliveries and returns, assist with financial assistance options, and support pharmacists with daily tasks. Role requires bilingual English/Spanish communication, strong knowledge of medical terminology and insurance terms (CMS 1500, CPT, NCPDP, NDC), and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Initial training in-office five days a week for 90 days, followed by a hybrid schedule with in-office work three days per week. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of medical/pharmacy insurance verification experience; PA Pharmacy Tech license is preferred but not required.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 or more years of experience with medical/pharmacy insurance verification, including benefit investigation.
- Experience using both English and Spanish languages in a professional capacity is required.
