Job Summary
Screen patients for eligibility of State and Federal assistance programs and identify areas of their needs to assist with applications. Initiate the application process, advise patients of appropriate programs and time limitations, and ensure all deadlines are met. Record thorough documentation in the CUBS system, contact government agencies when necessary, and follow up with assigned accounts until benefits are secured or billing information is obtained. Maintain positive relationships with patients and agencies while meeting daily productivity goals. Work remotely Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 8pm EST.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
- Must have a quiet, private area to perform work
Desired Qualifications
- Previous customer service/call center experience
- Previous experience with medical coding or billing
- Proficient PC knowledge
- Ability to type 30-40 wpm
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with coworkers, patients, and outside agencies
- Ability to present oneself in a courteous and professional manner at all times
- Ability to stay on task with little or no management supervision
- Demonstrate initiative and creativity in fulfilling job responsibilities
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a busy work environment
- Reliability of task completion and follow-up
