Job Summary
Bilingual Patient Access Representative responsible for scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collection of payments, with required Spanish-English proficiency. Duties include registering patients, verifying insurance eligibility, collecting copays and balances, handling incoming calls and transfers, scheduling/canceling/rescheduling appointments, monitoring the waiting area, sending reminders, updating sliding fee information per ACHC guidelines, auditing account types, and coordinating with nursing providers to meet patient needs. Requires strong customer service in a healthcare setting, data-entry skills, and proficiency with computer systems. This is a full-time role (40 hours) based in Council Bluffs, IA, with on-site responsibilities in a clinic environment. Salary starts at $16.50/hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- At least one year customer service experience; healthcare setting strongly preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and data entry skills
