Job Summary
Bilingual Spanish/English technology trainer delivering OATS curriculum to older adults in San Antonio, TX. In-person part-time role (6-25 hours/week) teaching technology courses, creating a supportive learning environment, coordinating with site staff, and engaging in outreach. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, using OATS curriculum and online resources, maintaining professionalism, representing Senior Planet culture, communicating with OATS staff, submitting paperwork, collecting surveys, entering data in Salesforce, participating in trainer meetings, recruiting participants as needed, and contributing to special projects. Local travel is required with travel reimbursement provided. Qualifications include 1 year of professional work experience and strong communication skills; proficiency with Windows, iOS, social media, and related technologies; bilingual ability in Spanish/English; and ability to work both independently and as part of a training team. The role may involve coordinating with site staff and traveling for trainings; candidates should be generally available Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm. Location: San Antonio, TX, United States.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish/English (written and spoken)
- Excellent speaking and communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Classroom teaching experience is strongly preferred
- Proficiency with Windows computers, iOS, popular social media sites, and other common technologies/devices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a training team
- Superior time-management skills
- Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a professional work setting
- Would be open to college students
