Job Summary
Provide outpatient treatment services in both English and Spanish to adults, adolescents, and their families, including education to promote healthy lifestyles. Develop individualized treatment plans, facilitate treatment groups, and conduct clinical assessments and documentation in a timely manner. Enforce facility rules, maintain security, assist in crisis intervention, and act as a liaison with community support services. Build effective relationships with DHS workers, probation officers, and drug court coordinators while making recommendations for consumer advancement. Adhere to all Palmer goals, maintain strict confidentiality, and participate in ongoing in-service education and staff development.
Required Qualifications
- Current Oklahoma LADC, LPC, LMFT or LCSW license or under supervision working toward licensure in the state of Oklahoma
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with the ability to provide counseling services in both languages
- Ability to conduct clinical assessments, individual counseling, group counseling and documentation in English and Spanish
- Master's degree in behavioral science or related field
- T-ASI, ASI and ASAM PPC-2R – trained by an ODMHSAS-certified trainer within the past 5 years
- Experienced in providing counseling services to adolescents and/or their families in a therapeutic setting
- Working knowledge of adolescent development, age and developmentally relevant therapeutic interventions and counseling approaches
- Knowledgeable in providing integrated, evidence-based addiction treatment for consumers with co-occurring disorders
- Ability to develop and maintain therapeutic alliances with consumers
- Experience in providing individual and group counseling
- Creative therapeutic approaches to substance abuse/addiction needs
- Excellent verbal communication, written communication
- Advanced interpersonal skills
- Strong Computer skills include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Current Oklahoma Driver's License and acceptable driving record according to Motor Vehicles Records
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Ability to sit for up to 8 hours/day
- Ability to view computer screen for up to 8 hours/day
