Job Summary
Evaluate, administer remedial treatments, and conduct screenings for pediatric patients in home health settings. Direct patients and caregivers in tasks to restore or enhance performance while providing family training on home programming and discharge planning. Coordinate care with office staff, consult physicians on progress, and maintain appropriate records. Maintain supplies, participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs, and mentor students and new hires. Serve as a backup service provider as needed while demonstrating independent judgment. Requires a Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, current licensure, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current state-issued professional licensure
- Valid state driver license
- CPR certified
- Must be able to lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements
- Ability to read and write in simple correspondence
- Effective public speaking in small groups
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instruction with the ability to solve practical problems with a variety of concrete variables
- Proficient computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping and routine database activity
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
