Bilingual Mortgage Loan Officer

Job Summary
Interview mortgage loan applicants, assist members with completing applications, and collate financial data to evaluate character, collateral, capacity to repay, and credit position. Calculate debt-to-income ratios, recommend loan pricing and terms, and prepare documentation for underwriting while managing the closing process. Correspond with members and creditors to resolve inquiries, notify applicants of decisions, and perform prospect and delinquency calls to meet business goals. Travel to client and vendor appointments as needed. Promote Marine Enterprise products, build community relationships, and ensure compliance with all policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish Speaking)
- High School Diploma
- Have access to transportation on demand to be able to travel to client and vendor appointments out of office as needed
- This position may include frequent driving; a driving record review is required
Desired Qualifications
- College Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or Finance
- Previous consumer lending experience at Marine Credit Union
- Prior experience gathering data, analyzing customer financial information, and making financial product recommendations
- Previous business development/networking experience
- Previous Mortgage/Consumer Lending, Banking, or Sales experience
- Experience building networks of community/industry contacts to support business goals
- Experience working in a face-to-face customer service/sales environment
- A record of success in meeting set, external business goals
