Job Summary
Conduct diagnostic mental health assessments and provide individual, family, play, couple, and group psychotherapy along with crisis intervention and case management support to assigned clients. Develop treatment plans, monitor progress, and coordinate services with psychiatric and medical partners while maintaining accurate clinical documentation. Facilitate client growth with an emphasis on strengths, culture, and resiliency within a trauma-informed environment. Participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervisory sessions as required. This bilingual role serves children, youth, adults, and families from Latino/a/x communities through El Centro, a multicultural group offering culturally responsive outpatient services across the lifespan.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or other human services field
- Bilingual English & Spanish
- 40 hours per week
- Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach
- Ability to drive
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to give, receive and analyze information
- Ability to formulate work plans
- Ability to prepare written materials
- Ability to articulate goals and action plans
- Ability to understand people from different backgrounds
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Must be able to comprehend people from different origins
- Must be able to communicate with them effectively
- TB test mandatory and must be current throughout employment
Desired Qualifications
- Licensed or within 6 months of licensure
- 1 to 2 years of experience in mental health or human services
