Job Summary
Medical Virtual Assistant for a bilingual Spanish-English primary care-focused private practice. Responsibilities include appointment scheduling, patient communication, insurance verification and claims processing, referral coordination, patient records management, coordination with providers and healthcare partners, handling inquiries via phone/email/text, fax management, email/text management, prioritizing billing-related administrative support, serving as provider/patient care coordinator, and supporting remote patient monitoring. Not a sales role. Requires strong customer service and patient engagement for scheduling, coordination, and patient support. Remote work for international candidates (Philippines/Latin America region implied). Proficiency in Spanish and English, healthcare-administrative background, and compliance checks required.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (strong communication skills)
- At least 1 year of experience in medical front office, medical administrative, or care coordination roles
- Strong healthcare administrative background
- Familiarity with Elation or similar EMR systems (a plus)
- Professional and polished phone presence
- Patient, compassionate, and polite demeanor
- Highly detail-oriented and thorough
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in speaking and writing Spanish & English clearly
- Must submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding
- Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed
- Reliable laptop/desktop with high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps)
- Quiet, professional home workspace
- HIPAA training certification provided (optional)
- Willingness to work remotely for U.S.-healthcare clients
