Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish/English)

Job Summary
Maintain patient flow during clinic visits to ensure prompt service, while obtaining vital signs, measurements, and laboratory tests accurately per protocol. Obtain chief complaints and reasons for visit using excellent listening skills, then assist providers in procedures and examinations within certification guidelines. Translate written and verbal communication between patients and staff as requested. Maintain exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency while adhering to regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, CLIA, and OSHA. Requires bilingual Spanish/English ability and 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience. Full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
- 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
- Proficient spelling
- Ability to work and function independently and within a team
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people of all backgrounds
- Proficient knowledge in computer software such as Microsoft Office Software
- Able to perform proficiently on current practice management system and/or electronic medical records
