Job Summary
Perform patient intake by taking vital signs and documenting medical histories while assisting healthcare providers during examinations and procedures. Administer medications, maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems, and conduct basic life support as needed for emergencies. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in inpatient settings to ensure compliance with safety protocols and clean work environments. Assist in coding diagnoses using ICD coding for billing purposes and address patient questions and concerns to provide excellent service. Requires previous medical setting experience, BLS certification, and familiarity with internal medicine. Fulltime Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 5:00, located in North Richland Hills.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a medical setting
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Basic life support certification
- Experience with EHR systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments
- Understanding of patient care protocols in inpatient settings
- Excellent communication skills
