Bilingual Medical Assistant

Bilingual Medical Assistant supports the provider in diagnostic testing, examination, education, and treatment of patients, and performs clerical duties. Responsibilities include preparing patients, taking vitals, setting up EKGs, administering injections and medications, specimen collection, preparing rooms and equipment, assisting with treatments and exams, managing supplies, handling phone calls and patient check-in/check-out, arranging referrals and laboratory services, traveling to offsite locations when needed, and coordinating with insurance authorizations. Requires strong communication across diverse backgrounds, confidentiality, and team collaboration. Must have High School Diploma or GED and medical assisting certification/ Program completion meeting BOMEX or AZ Board requirements, plus BLS. Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required. Pre-employment background check and drug testing, plus fingerprint clearance within 7 days of hire. Location in Phoenix, AZ within Desert Mission Health Center area; travel to offsite locations may be required.
