Job Summary
Assist medical providers by building relationships to anticipate needs, open labs, prepare rooms, and huddle with staff in the morning. Take patients to treatment rooms, collect vitals, and perform blood draws, injections, and other lab tests. Process prior authorizations, medical assistant orders, scheduling, lab results, and medication refills. Close pod labs, sterilize rooms and instruments, and prepare for the next day. Maintain a professional, empathetic demeanor while communicating clearly with both patients and providers. Bilingual in English and Spanish with 2+ years of experience or a certified diploma.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program with over 100 hours of hands-on externship experience
- Two (2+) years recent experience a Medical Assistant in lieu of school
- Must be reliable and punctual
