Job Summary
The Bilingual Mechanical Claims Adjuster is responsible for appraising and estimating loss and damage associated with mechanical automobile claims. This role involves reviewing warranty contracts, handling claims submissions, communicating with repair facilities, authorizing repairs, and ensuring compliance with company service guidelines. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of automotive mechanical repair experience, be fully bilingual in French and English, and possess excellent communication and negotiation skills. Intermediate computer proficiency is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of automotive mechanical repair experience (preferred)
- Fully bilingual in both French and English (written and spoken)
- Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to travel to the office from time to time
Desired Qualifications
- Automotive Service Technician/Motor Vehicle Mechanics license (preferred, not mandatory)
- Intermediate computer skills including: MS Word, Excel and Outlook
- Familiarity with nationally published labour time electronic guides such as Alldata and Mitchell Pro Demand
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions
