Job Summary
Bilingual LPN at BioLife Plasma Services (Takeda) supports plasma center operations by determining donor eligibility, managing donor adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results (SPE), and notifying donors of unsuitable results under the guidance of Center Manager and Center Physician. Responsibilities include medical history interviews, informed consent, physical examinations, donor safety, and adherence to SOPs for emergencies; contribute to vaccination programs, occupational health guidance, and environmental health and safety. Requires active LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED, IV therapy competency, and two years in clinical/hospital setting; Spanish and English fluency. Hourly pay range $26–$28 with benefits at Houston North, TX location.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with active state licensure
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- Two years in a clinical or hospital setting
- State requirements (in state of licensure) met for responsibilities
