Job Summary
Bilingual Live Medical Scribe role providing real-time clinical documentation and charting support for U.S.-based providers from a remote Colombia location. Responsible for documenting patient consultations and procedures live, preparing and reviewing medical charts, capturing patient histories, exam findings, and treatment plans using SOAP notes and provider templates, and ensuring HIPAA-compliant, audit-ready records. Supports follow-ups, orders, documentation updates, clinical coordination, and prior authorizations, while maintaining accurate records and contributing to provider productivity and patient care efficiency. Requires fluent English and Spanish (spoken and written), minimum 70+ WPM typing, experience with EMR/EHR systems, strong medical terminology knowledge, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced clinical environments.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written)
- Minimum 6+ months of experience as a medical scribe, dental scribe, or clinical documentation specialist for U.S.-based healthcare providers
- Graduate of an allied medical program strongly preferred: MD, DMD, RN
- Minimum typing speed of 70+ WPM
- Experience using EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation software
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical documentation standards
- SOAP note formatting
- HIPAA and patient confidentiality knowledge
- Prior authorizations familiarity
- Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Remote healthcare support experience preferred
- Google Workspace and Microsoft Office proficiency
