Job Summary
Bilingual Licensed Mental Health Therapist position in Northern New Jersey (New Brunswick area) offering part-time in-home, center-based, and telehealth therapy for youth with mental health disorders. Responsibilities include providing individual and group therapy, telehealth therapy, and in-home/center-based sessions; conducting bio-psycho-social assessments; delivering coping and social skills training, anger management, and reducing risks such as self-injurious or aggressive behaviors; improving family decision-making; collaborating with the Child Family Treatment Team; completing intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and mandatory clinical documentation; attending monthly meetings; and training for assessments as needed. Requires a master’s degree in a related behavioral health field, an active New Jersey license, trauma counseling and crisis intervention training, post-internship clinical experience with youth, experience with DSM-V, and ability to work 6–10 hours weekly after school (12 PM–8 PM) with a caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff. Must have a NJ driver’s license, pass background checks, and a pre-employment drug screen; must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship (H-1B sponsorship not offered). State reciprocity considered for service-area alignment. Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training training or willingness
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment plans, goals, progress notes, initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, Trauma-focused approaches
- Knowledge of DSM-V for assessments and diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12:00–20:00), weekend flexibility a plus
- Caseload management for part-time staff
- Experience with positive behavior supports
- Experience with children ages 3-20 and I/DD is a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
