Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing individual in-home therapy, group therapy, telehealth, and center-based sessions for youth (3-20) in New Jersey; requires master's in counseling or related field and active NJ license; utilizes CBT/REBT/Gestalt/DBT; performs bio-psycho-social assessments and develops treatment goals with ongoing documentation; collaborates with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals; completes intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and attends monthly meetings; after-school hours 12pm–8pm; maintains a 2–3 client caseload; background checks and drug screen required; candidate must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship; state reciprocity considered; Jersey City, NJ location(s).
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT) (candidates with out-of-state licenses considered if reciprocity applies)
- Has Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Has some training or willing to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Has post-internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders with clinical experience
- Experience creating treatment goals, plans, progress notes, initial assessments
- Experience with CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Willing to train/complete Bio-Psycho-Social assessments
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- Minimum 6-10 hours per week after-school availability (12-8pm)
- Ability to maintain a caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time role
- Experience providing positive behavior supports
- Experience with youth ages 3-20; I/DD experience a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen required
