Job Summary
In-home and telehealth therapy for youth in New Jersey. Provide individual in-home therapy and telehealth sessions; perform bio-psycho-social assessments; help youth and caregivers with coping, social skills, anger management, and reducing risky behaviors; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team; complete required documentation (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes); attend monthly meetings; willing to train for assessments; minimum 6–10 hours weekly during after-school hours (12–8pm); maintain a 2–3 client caseload; prior experience with children 3–20 and I/DD is a plus; NJ driver’s license; background checks and drug screen required; resume and degree/license documents required; willing to work without visa sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT)
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Crisis Intervention Training (or willingness to complete)
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders
- Experience creating treatment planning, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience with counseling approaches: CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Ability to use the DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Available for 6-10 hours per week during after-school hours (12pm–8pm); weekend flexibility a plus
- Must maintain a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff
- Must have experience with positive behavior supports
- Must have experience working with children ages 3-20; I/DD experience a plus
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Must pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Must submit resume and copies of master's degree and NJ license/certification or license
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
- State reciprocity considered, but must be within service area (25–30 minutes)
