Job Summary
Part-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) providing in-home and center-based therapy for youth in Northern New Jersey. Responsibilities include individual in-home therapy, group therapy, Telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions; conduct bio-psycho-social assessments when applicable; support coping, social skills, anger management, and reduction of risk behaviors (SIB/physical aggression); enhance decision-making for youth and caretakers; collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals; complete intake, treatment plans, DAP notes, and other required documentation; attend monthly meetings and submit clinical documentation; willing to train for bio-psycho-social assessments; requires NJ licensure and ability to work 6–10 hours weekly after school with weekend flexibility; maintains a minimum caseload of 2–3 clients for part-time staff; experience with children 3-20 years and potential IDD exposure; valid NJ driver’s license; background checks and drug screen; currently unable to sponsor H-1B visas; state reciprocity considered.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field
- Active license in New Jersey (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LAC, LSW, LFT); candidates with out-of-state licenses may be considered if reciprocity applies
- Clinical Mental Health Trauma Counseling Training
- Willingness to complete Crisis Intervention Training
- Post-internship field experience with youth with mental health disorders and clinical experience
- Experience creating treatment planning, treatment goals, progress notes, and initial assessments
- Experience in CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and Trauma Response
- Knowledge of DSM-V for Assessments and Diagnosis
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks
- Pre-employment drug screen
- Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship (no H-1B sponsorship)
